Quindins

This post was already published on the portuguese version of flagrantedelicia.com but I've never found time to translate it.

They speak for themselves...

Quindins

Makes 12:

5 egg yolks
25 g coconut, grated
75 ml coconut milk
100 g sugar

Pre-heat the oven to 140º C.
Grease 12 small pans with plenty of butter and sugar.
Sieve the egg yolks.
Add the remaining ingredients and combine well.
Fill 2/3 of the pans with this mixture.
Bake in a double boiler covered with aluminum foil for about 45 minutes.
Unmould while slighly warm.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I have stopped running after people stealing content and photographs because I would spend my day doing so but that does not change the fact that some people have no manners and no consideration for the work of others.
On another note, the quindins are new to me and sound delicious@

    Wow, these look great!

It's too bad about people stealing your photos. Good for you for fighting back!

Nunca te roubaria uma imagem, mas confesso que se pudesse roubava era os quindins :)!

It must be horrifying and shocking to find one's own picture in another site without credits! This is one of the dark sides of the internet! I hope that one day we will have some gadget, that linked to the picture, will trace back the its' source.
    XOXO

Thankfully, it has been fixed. It now states clearly the photo was stolen from you.

    Sorry this happened.

I found that new picture you put up in place "This image was stolen... SHAME ON YOU!" is awesome. It made me laugh so much. :)

I'm sorry about the photo-stealing person, you take such good pictures, people should really credit you for it.

Having your photos or content stolen sucks!! I know that this happens very often with other blogs as well, and there is currently no form of control or preventative measure from stopping these actions, and there is only so much that a blog owner can do. But try to look at it from the bright side. If they are stealing your photos/content, it clearly means that you are putting out great stuff, no? And on a more vindictive note, you can delight in the fact that those people will never have your talents for food or photography (that's why they steal).

it would be nice if people would at least reference...you know at least give credit where it is due.

I am so sorry to heard about . I had many photos stolen . Is a pity that those things happen Anyway I love quindins , and yours looks delicious

I can understand your situation perfectly well...I have had quite a few nasty experiences myself. Some people are just plain rude and inconsiderate, and it hurts, especially after so much effort has been put in those creations.

As for those pretty quindins (I do love the name), that's another new thing learnt.

That stinks - anyone with any sense would know to give attribution - after first asking permission. I have found more than one of my photos on other site - irritating!

This blog makes me SO hungry. I'll add you to our blogroll! delicia!

They are a beautiful yellow. Like egg yolks :) I'm glad you managed to sort out your photo problem. Stealing is just plain rude!

    Leonor,

    Abs,

    C.

I've never heard of these but they look intriguind - kind of like Ferran Adria egg yolks :)

As for the content theft, it really is incredibly frustrating - if people really want to steal your content, they will and it's not worth your blood pressure to stress about it. That said, when I find my content somewhere without credit I ALWAYS fire off at least one angry e-mail and sometimes this fixes the problem. As you found out! And you can always apologise if you were a little harsh to start with :)

I've chosen to republish this post because the picture issue is already solved and I think it doesn't make sense any more keeping this discussion on my blog.

    Thanks for all your comments!
